Your Questions, Answered
It is completely normal to have questions before booking, especially if energy healing is new to you.
You may be wondering which session to choose, what will happen once you arrive, whether you need to talk, or whether you will feel anything at all. I have answered the questions people most often ask me, as honestly and simply as I can.
-
Which healing should I book first?
Reiki Healing is a beautiful place to begin.
It works with your energy as a whole, so you do not need to know exactly what needs attention or arrive with a perfectly formed intention. You can simply come as you are, lie down and allow yourself to receive.
Reiki can support balance, deep relaxation and a greater sense of connection to yourself. For many people, it is the gentlest and most natural first step into energy healing.
-
That is absolutely fine. You do not need to have the right words.
Sometimes you simply know that you have been carrying too much, feeling disconnected from yourself or moving through life without enough space to breathe.
We can begin there. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and the session can unfold from what is present for you.
-
I would choose Reiki Healing when you want to rest, rebalance and receive without needing to focus on one particular issue.
Choose Crystal Healing when you feel drawn towards a more specific healing pathway, such as Chakra Balancing, Inner-Child Healing, Emotional Release or Soul Retrieval, or Past-Life Healing.
Choose Intuitive Healing when you feel ready for something to shift and would like the session to be shaped by what comes forward for you on the day.
And when you are still unsure, begin with Reiki.
-
No. You do not need to convince yourself of anything before you come.
You can arrive curious, uncertain, open-minded or simply exhausted and ready to rest. You do not need to understand energy healing in order to experience the session.
-
Choose Extended Reiki when you want more time.
Some people need longer to settle, soften and allow themselves to receive. The extended session gives us more space to work slowly and allows you to remain in the healing for longer without feeling rushed.
It can be especially supportive when life has been intense, when you have been carrying a lot emotionally or when you simply want to give yourself something deeper.
-
We begin with a conversation. I will ask how you are feeling, what has been happening in your life and whether there is anything you would like support with.
You then lie comfortably on the treatment table, fully clothed. I usually work by placing my hands gently on the body. If a particular area needs to be worked without touch, I will simply lift my hands and continue just above the body.
You do not need to do anything. You can close your eyes, rest and allow yourself to receive.

People experience Reiki in many different ways.
You may feel warmth, tingling, movement, emotion, heaviness leaving the body, colours or images. You may drift in and out of sleep, or fall asleep completely.
You may also feel very little during the session and notice the change afterwards instead.
There is no right way to experience Reiki. Your session will be your own.
-
You may feel calm, light, clear, grounded or deeply rested.
You may also feel very tired. Sometimes the body has been holding itself together for so long that, once it finally relaxes, the tiredness comes forward.
You might feel emotional, quiet or simply want some space afterwards. Drink water, take things gently and rest if your body asks for it.
-
One session can be deeply meaningful.
You may feel a noticeable shift, experience a sense of relief or simply receive the rest you have been needing. Some people come once, while others choose regular Reiki because they value the way it supports them over time.
You do not need to decide in advance. Begin with one session and see how you feel.

Distant Reiki allows you to receive Reiki from wherever you are.
At the agreed time, you make yourself comfortable at home while I offer the healing from a distance. You may choose to lie down, meditate, listen to music or simply rest quietly.
It is a beautiful option when you live far away, cannot attend in person or feel more comfortable receiving from your own space.
-
Absolutely. Reiki can be wonderful for children.
Children often receive Reiki very naturally because they are not trying to analyse or understand everything. They simply feel whether something is calming and supportive.
Their sessions are shorter and adapted to their age, personality and comfort. They may lie down, sit, talk, move around or simply receive Reiki for as long as feels right.
A parent or guardian is always welcome to stay.
-
Yes, I usually practise Reiki with my hands resting gently on the body.
The touch is still, respectful and always offered with care. If an area is sensitive, if touch is not appropriate, or if you would prefer not to be touched, I will work with my hands just above the body instead.
You are always welcome to tell me what feels comfortable for you.
-
No. Once the healing begins, you can simply rest.
We will usually talk before the session, and there is time afterwards if you would like to share how you feel or ask questions. But you never need to explain everything or speak about anything you are not ready to share.
Sometimes being quiet is exactly what you need.
-
That is completely fine.
Falling asleep often means your body has finally felt safe enough to let go. Reiki continues whether you are awake, deeply relaxed or asleep.
You are not missing anything by sleeping.

You may have noticed Bruno, my dog, in some of my photos. He does not usually join first-time sessions, as I want to meet you first and make sure you feel completely comfortable.
After that, I will always check with you. Bruno loves being part of sessions, and many of my clients love having him there. He may guide you to your chair, settle nearby during the healing, check on you afterwards and offer cuddles when they are welcome.
If you would especially love Bruno to join you, simply send me a message before your appointment.
